REMOTE QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER (Dallas, TX, US, 28217-4511)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential facilities management organization in their search for a Remote Quality Assurance Manager. This role reports remotely but requires approximately 50% travel. The position focuses on food safety programs, FSMA compliance, and quality assurance across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product food safety and quality programs supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction
• Create and maintain the Food Safety Plan, identifying deficiencies and implementing improvement strategies
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, sanitation preventive controls, and all prerequisite food safety standards according to USDA, FDA, FSIS, and FSMA requirements
• Manage the Allergen Preventive Controls Program, ensuring accurate allergen labeling and prevention of cross contact
• Oversee the written recall program and ensure complete traceability of incoming raw materials and finished products
• Manage lot code tracking and verify labeling accuracy for allergens, ingredients, and nutritional information
• Coordinate all food safety audits conducted by government and third-party agencies
• Respond to customer safety and quality concerns as needed
• Engage personnel across all areas in food safety and quality initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in food technology, food science, or related field required
• At least 6 years of direct experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in prepared foods manufacturing strongly preferred
• Required certifications: HACCP certification, Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), and GFSI auditor certification
• Demonstrated expertise in HACCP program development and FSMA regulations
• Strong knowledge of Preventive Controls for Human Food
• Understanding of third-party audit and GFSI audit scheme programs and standards
• Working knowledge of FDA and USDA/FSIS food processing regulations
• Experience in meat, poultry, seafood, processed foods, distribution, or proprietary product development is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various software platforms
• Strong data management, reporting, and technical writing skills
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse corporate environment

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $130,000–$134,000 annually, with potential bonus eligibility. This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States with approximately 50% travel required.
