Electronics Process Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential rail technology organization seeking an Electronics Process Engineer to join their team in Lyon, France. Our client is a global leader in electrical and electronic safety systems with over a century of engineering excellence. This role offers the chance to bridge R&D and manufacturing, ensuring smooth industrialization of cutting-edge electronic products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design phases to understand and integrate manufacturing constraints
• Define and validate manufacturing processes including assembly, testing, and quality control
• Maintain up-to-date manufacturing documentation such as BOMs, routings, and procedures
• Coordinate interactions between R&D, production, quality, and procurement teams
• Identify and resolve technical issues during production cycles
• Monitor EMS manufacturing performance in terms of capacity, quality, cost, and delivery
• Define and coordinate assembly and testing phases for final products across production facilities
• Manage and monitor orders between production units based on annual sales forecasts
• Lead prototyping, pre-series, and ramp-up phases for new product launches

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a design office or electronic product manufacturing environment
• Degree in Electronics Engineering
• Previous experience as an Industrialization Engineer, Methods Engineer, or Industrial Transfer Manager
• Proven track record managing technical projects including planning, coordination, and reporting
• Ability to produce clear, structured, and comprehensive technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of electronics including schematics, components, and industry standards (CE, RoHS, IPC)
• Solid understanding of industrial processes: PCB assembly, testing, quality control, and traceability
• Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation including BOMs, mechanical drawings, and manufacturing files
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Altium, Eagle, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
• Basic knowledge of automation and testing including test benches, microcontroller programming, and validation scripts
• Fluent in French and English
