Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential academic institution in the Paris region. The platform engineer will maintain and administer critical research and teaching infrastructure, working closely with system and platform engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality services.

• Maintain and administer a high-throughput data platform, including system and network infrastructure (infrastructure, access, resource orchestration) and compute resources to support the complete lifecycle of Machine Learning experiments
• Maintain and administer a blockchain platform (maintenance, deployment, and potential development of new smart contracts and integration of connected objects)
• Participate in the maintenance of teaching labs and ensure smooth execution of practical sessions as needed by the team
• Collaborate with administration, teaching, and research teams to ensure operational excellence

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a candidate with a Master's degree or equivalent (Bac+5) and strong technical expertise.

Essential skills:

• Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, networking, DevOps, and MLOps
• Programming skills in C/C++, Python, Java, and Bash
• French language proficiency (spoken and written)
• Rigorous approach and project management methodology
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team collaboration capabilities
• Strict respect for data confidentiality obligations

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to blockchain and cybersecurity domains
• Critical thinking skills
• Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices

Pay and Contract Details

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (CDD) based in Évry-Courcouronnes, Île-de-France. The position offers 44 days of leave, remote work possibilities, on-site dining facilities, and public transport accessibility with employer contribution.
