Associate Director, Affiliate Marketing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketing agency seeking an Associate Director of Affiliate Marketing to lead and grow a portfolio of enterprise client accounts. This is a strategic, high-impact role that combines hands-on execution with thought leadership—driving affiliate program strategy, partner development, and cross-channel integration while delivering measurable business results.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise client accounts as the primary point of contact, providing proactive communication and strategic guidance on affiliate marketing initiatives
• Execute day-to-day program management including weekly/bi-weekly reporting, monthly analytics, and quarterly business reviews
• Recruit, onboard, and develop relationships with new affiliate partners to drive program growth
• Identify and execute paid placement campaigns from concept through completion
• Interface with affiliate networks to coordinate program management and maintain regular partner communication
• Lead network migrations and platform transitions when needed
• Assess competitive landscapes and deliver strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across digital marketing channels and collaborate with internal teams on implementation
• Support new business development through audits, presentations, and pitch participation
• Develop new department deliverables as the affiliate marketing industry evolves
• Test emerging strategies, features, and platforms; share findings with the broader team
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance reporting and campaign performance
• Mentor team members and refine training processes for new hires

What We're Looking For

• 6-8 years of experience in affiliate marketing, including media campaign strategy within an agency or client-side environment
• Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on affiliate campaigns across diverse verticals (ecommerce, retail, subscriptions, international, B2B)
• Deep expertise with affiliate networks such as Impact, CJ, PepperJam, AWIN, Partnerize, or similar platforms
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting insights data, partner performance metrics, and trend analysis to inform strategy
• Proven ability to create regular and ad hoc reports that identify growth and optimization opportunities, with emphasis on forecasting
• Working knowledge of core digital marketing channels including influencer marketing, paid media, and earned/owned media
• Excellent client relationship management skills with ability to navigate difficult conversations confidently
• Experience improving business processes and workflows to enable better collaboration across teams
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Ability to work remotely within the USA (some state exclusions may apply)

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000–$113,000 annually, based on your skills, experience, education, and location within the USA.
