Maintenance Engineer (m/w/d) – Automation & Instandhaltung

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization operating one of the most advanced fulfillment operations in the Brandenburg region. As a Maintenance Engineer specializing in Automation & Instandhaltung, you will work hands-on with modern intralogistics, conveyor systems, and automated material handling equipment from leading manufacturers including Apollo, Qimarox, and Regal Rexnord.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and repair: Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical failures in automated systems, working closely with operations teams to minimize downtime
• Vendor collaboration: Interface directly with equipment suppliers to diagnose and solve complex technical issues
• Root cause analysis: Investigate recurring problems, implement permanent solutions, and prevent future occurrences
• Preventive maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and performance
• Continuous improvement: Drive optimization initiatives that enhance system efficiency, reliability, and intelligence
• Performance assurance: Ensure automated handling systems operate at peak capacity to support daily order fulfillment targets

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical apprenticeship, Meister or Techniker qualification, and/or Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation
• 7+ years of proven experience in technical maintenance or a similar engineering role
• Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with hands-on experience in automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or intralogistics installations
• Working knowledge of CMMS software and PLC-based control systems
• Strong communication skills in both German and English (fluent level required)
• Self-directed work style with initiative and solution-oriented problem-solving approach
• Team collaboration mindset with ability to work effectively across departments

This is a full-time position based in Falkensee, Brandenburg, working in a shift system (40-hour week). The role includes a company car for business and private use, 30 days annual leave, and comprehensive benefits.
