Working Student Export Control & Trade Compliance (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology client in Munich seeking a Working Student for Export Control & Trade Compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of international trade, export control, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with colleagues across sales, procurement, and logistics departments from day one, tackling real-world cases in international trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily inquiries from departments such as sales, procurement, and logistics regarding export control processes and compliance requirements
• Support the preparation and development of export license applications with relevant governmental authorities
• Conduct research on export licenses, sanctions, goods classifications, and country-specific restrictions prior to planned exports
• Analyze and document historical export and customs data for risk analysis and preparation of internal and external audits
• Independently create, review, and manage end-user certificates for customers, suppliers, and authorities

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled student in Commercial Law, Law, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or a comparable field
• Basic understanding of or strong interest in German and European export control law, particularly AWG/AWV and EU Dual-Use Regulation
• Ability to communicate complex regulations clearly and support colleagues in a solution-oriented manner
• Highly meticulous, structured, and able to work independently
• Fluent German language skills and very good English proficiency
• Nice to have: Initial practical experience in export control, customs, compliance, or foreign trade through internships or working student positions
