Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential nonprofit organization based in Berlin that is seeking a Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to secure and diversify funding streams. In this role, you will identify relevant funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and demonstrate impact to funding partners.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Researching relevant funding programs, grant opportunities, and potential funding partners while proactively identifying new financing possibilities
  • Developing and writing persuasive funding applications and managing associated reporting requirements
  • Tracking ongoing applications, deadlines, and requirements to ensure reliable and structured follow-through
  • Collaborating with the fundraising team to develop new financing approaches and implement processes that improve efficiency
  • Serving as the primary contact for regional site leadership on financing questions, funding opportunities, and partnerships
  • Supporting regional teams with local grant applications and creating helpful templates and resources for collaboration
  • Contributing to impact and annual reports by preparing scientific results, metrics, and impact data in accessible formats for funding partners
  • Working closely with impact and communications teams to ensure relevant information is effectively compiled for reports

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a proactive, structured, and communication-strong professional with initial practical experience or exposure to fundraising, particularly grant applications. You don't need to be a fundraising expert yet—the important thing is your eagerness to quickly learn the funding landscape, take ownership, and develop professionally.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Initial practical experience or exposure to fundraising, grant applications, project financing, or comparable areas
  • Familiarity with the German funding landscape and understanding of what makes strong grant proposals and reports (preferred)
  • Ability to quickly absorb new topics and take responsibility for your assignments
  • Career changers are welcome if you bring relevant experience from project management, communications, nonprofit work, academia, or public funding
  • Independent, structured, and reliable work style with ability to manage multiple parallel projects and deadlines
  • Strong writing skills with ability to communicate complex content clearly and in audience-appropriate language
  • Proactive approach with enthusiasm for building new contacts and uncovering financing opportunities
  • Collaborative mindset and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent German language skills, written and spoken (C2 level)
  • Motivation to contribute to a mission creating concrete impact for young people's mental health

Position Details: 80% / 32 hours per week, based in Berlin with flexible hybrid working options. Start date November 1, 2026. Initially a one-year contract.
