About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential M&A advisory firm seeking an intern for Q4 2026 in Frankfurt am Main. Our client operates across multiple European locations and specializes in mid-market transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, and buy-and-build strategies. This is a three-month internship opportunity offering hands-on exposure to the complete transaction lifecycle in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare transaction process documents including information memoranda and management presentations
• Support business development activities to acquire new mandates
• Conduct financial and valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comparable company and transaction analyses)
• Perform independent market and company research
• Assist in creating data rooms and managing due diligence processes
• Analyze financial data and present findings in a clear, compelling format
• Work with financial databases and research platforms
• Participate in client meetings, including preparation and follow-up activities

What We're Looking For

• Current student or recent graduate in business, economics, social sciences, or a comparable field with interest in corporate finance
• Ideally prior internship experience in corporate finance, management consulting, or audit
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in German and English at C1 level
• Strong analytical thinking, team orientation, and enthusiasm for project work
• High performance motivation, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
• Affinity for data processing, technical preparation, and analysis
