About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential blockchain infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, DevEx to join their distributed engineering team. This is a remote position open to candidates in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, and the United States.
Our client builds critical infrastructure that powers decentralized applications and supports institutional adoption of blockchain technology. As their engineering organization scales, they need platform engineers who can build the foundational systems that enable every product team to ship faster and more reliably.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and build infrastructure primitives that define how CI/CD platforms, build systems, and developer environments scale across the entire engineering organization. Your work will focus on:
- Building and operating Kubernetes-based control plane components for the CI/CD platform
- Developing GitHub Actions self-hosted runner infrastructure with autoscaling, isolation, and performance optimization
- Creating GitHub Apps and GitHub-as-code automation for permissions, webhooks, and org-wide workflows
- Implementing secure network access solutions for CI/CD and remote development environments using tools like Tailscale
- Managing GitOps-driven deployment of platform services using Flux
- Designing ephemeral and on-demand developer environments and build systems
- Developing core infrastructure components including Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation that product teams can adopt directly
- Codifying platform logic into reusable components to reduce operational toil organization-wide
This is not an operational support role. You will be building the systems that define how engineering teams build, test, and deploy—shaping the reliability and scalability of the developer experience across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 6–9+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
- Proven track record scaling Kubernetes in high-throughput production environments
- Deep Kubernetes expertise beyond cluster operations—understanding internals, scheduler behavior, custom resources, and cluster-scale failure diagnosis
- Experience building platform infrastructure, control planes, or Kubernetes Operators (not just consuming them)
- Strong distributed systems and production reliability background
- Terraform and GitOps ownership—designing and owning automation, not just running playbooks
- Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows using Flux or ArgoCD
- Experience with CI/CD platforms at scale, particularly GitHub Actions self-hosted runners and workflows-as-code
- Production experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in Go (strongly preferred) or another systems language
- Demonstrated track record of building infrastructure primitives with an automation-first mindset
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Tailscale or similar zero-trust/overlay networking solutions
- Experience designing SLO strategies and error-budget frameworks
- Background improving observability frameworks using OpenTelemetry or similar tools
- Experience building internal developer platforms or ephemeral development environments
- Multi-tenant platform infrastructure design experience
- Contributions to Kubernetes ecosystem projects
- Comfort working in high-ambiguity environments
- Familiarity with web3 concepts is a plus but not required
