MBA Admissions Coach

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential education technology client seeking an experienced MBA Admissions Coach to join their independent coaching network. This is a contract opportunity for professionals with deep expertise in graduate business school admissions who want to set their own schedule while helping ambitious candidates achieve their educational goals.

Our client connects qualified coaches with applicants preparing for top MBA programs. You'll work one-on-one with clients virtually, providing comprehensive admissions guidance from initial strategy through final enrollment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through school selection and overall application strategy
• Develop and edit MBA application essays, cover letters, and resumes
• Prepare candidates for admissions interviews with mock sessions and feedback
• Advise on securing strong letters of recommendation
• Support clients navigating standardized testing (GMAT/GRE), financial aid, and scholarship applications
• Provide ding analysis and waitlist strategy for candidates facing setbacks
• Coach clients on networking strategies within target programs
• Help undecided clients explore program options and clarify their graduate school path
• Deliver a consistently high-quality, supportive coaching experience aligned with platform standards

What We're Looking For

• Acceptance into and ideally completion of a highly-ranked MBA program
• Hands-on experience with the MBA admissions process, either as a former admissions professional, consultant, or successful applicant
• Prior coaching, mentoring, or teaching experience
• A clear, structured methodology for helping clients present their strongest candidacy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide constructive, actionable feedback on essays and application materials
• Strong interpersonal skills and genuine passion for helping others succeed
• Self-directed work style with the ability to manage your own schedule and client relationships
