Clinical Director

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential veterinary hospital in Bradford, West Yorkshire, seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead clinical excellence and team development. This is a senior leadership role for a veterinary professional who is passionate about advancing patient care standards, developing clinical teams, and shaping the strategic direction of a busy multi-disciplinary hospital.

As Clinical Director, you will provide clinical leadership across the hospital, working closely with senior leadership to maintain exceptional clinical standards, support veterinary colleagues, drive quality improvement initiatives, and ensure outstanding patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for the hospital's veterinary team
• Maintain and advance clinical standards, governance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Support and mentor veterinary colleagues in complex case discussions and clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with senior leadership on operational and clinical strategy
• Drive continuous improvement in patient care and client service
• Lead and develop a team of veterinary professionals across multiple disciplines
• Work 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm)
• No out-of-hours or on-call commitments required

• Strong clinical expertise with confidence to support complex case discussions
• Collaborative and people-focused leadership style with experience mentoring and developing others
• Demonstrated ability to drive clinical standards, governance, and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong commercial acumen combined with a people-centred leadership approach
• Veterinary qualification and UK registration (or ability to register)
