Software Development Engineers in Test (Python)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that is expanding their quality assurance capabilities. We are seeking multiple Software Development Engineers in Test specializing in Python to join a growing technical team. This remote role focuses on test automation framework development, API testing, and performance monitoring for mission-critical trading systems.

You'll collaborate with experienced specialists in a supportive environment, working on challenging technical problems involving pure API testing, Python automation, event streaming platforms, and cloud infrastructure. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth and technical advancement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance software delivery and quality throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Translate high-level business requirements into actionable technical test requirements
• Design and implement test automation frameworks, libraries, and automated test suites
• Develop and modify functional and performance automation tests
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating automation scripts into continuous integration tools
• Develop emulators for mobile testing scenarios
• Create formal test procedures and test plans based on product design documentation and certification requirements
• Advise on effective performance testing strategies to improve delivery quality
• Manage testing issues and drive resolutions throughout the quality assurance process
• Share technical expertise and mentor other QA team members
• Actively participate in Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle activities

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of comprehensive quality assurance experience
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python development experience
• Strong demonstrated experience designing and developing automated tests using Python
• Solid technical background with strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Confident knowledge of Git version control
• Experience working with agile software development methodologies and testing procedures
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Very good written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with testing framework development from scratch
• Experience with asynchronous and multithreading programming
• Experience testing web sockets
• Familiarity with Docker containerization
• Experience with Grafana monitoring tools
• Performance testing experience
• Background in Finance or Forex domain
