Werkstudent Prozessingenieurwesen (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential pet food manufacturer seeking a working student in process engineering to lead a data-driven packaging optimization project. In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain a structured packaging catalog for current and new products
• Analyze product characteristics including bulk density, flow behavior, and packaging requirements
• Identify patterns and similarities between products to create meaningful clusters
• Develop decision logic frameworks (such as variant trees) for selecting appropriate packaging types and planning efficient test runs
• Support production release processes and contribute to standardization of packaging workflows
• Prepare findings and present them through Excel reports, dashboards, or visual matrices
• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and development teams

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a currently enrolled student with:

• Active enrollment in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Process Engineering, Data Science, or comparable field
• Strong analytical and structured thinking abilities
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ideally, some exposure to data analysis, clustering methods, or visualization tools such as Visio or Power BI
• Genuine interest in production processes and operational optimization
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently on project deliverables
• German language skills appropriate for a working student position in Minden
