About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketing organization in Berlin that is experiencing significant growth. Our talent team is seeking a Junior Accounting Specialist to join their finance department in a supportive, development-focused role.

This position is designed as an entry-level opportunity with structured onboarding and mentorship. You'll work alongside experienced accounting professionals, supporting day-to-day operations and month-end/year-end closing processes. As you develop your skills, you'll gradually take on more independent responsibilities within the accounting function.

Responsibilities

  • Process and post incoming invoices; manage the central accounting inbox
  • Handle credit card reconciliations and travel expense settlements, including tax treatment
  • Process advance payments, self-billing transactions, incoming payment reminders, and credit notes
  • Maintain accounts receivable records, including open items and dunning procedures
  • Support accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations for month-end and year-end closings
  • Assist with preparation of documentation for external auditors and transfer pricing files
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting and FP&A teams to ensure data quality and smooth workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Initial professional experience in financial accounting or a comparable function, ideally through commercial or tax-related training
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and strong affinity for numbers
  • Good Excel skills and willingness to learn SAP
  • Curiosity and openness to working with AI tools in finance operations
  • Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and communicative with a high degree of personal accountability
  • Interest in continuous professional development and gradually assuming more responsibility
  • Very good German skills (minimum C1) for invoice processing, vendor contact, and tax matters
  • Good English skills (minimum B2) for collaboration in an international environment
