Data & AI Strategist

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a Data & AI Strategist to drive large-scale transformation opportunities across Europe, the Middle East, and India. In this senior commercial role, you will own the development and progression of high-value Data & AI opportunities, building and converting a pipeline of multi-million-pound deals that contribute materially to annual bookings targets.

You will lead the shaping of complex Data & AI pursuits, owning the client narrative, business case, transformation agenda, and solution direction. Your work will focus on platform-centric, enterprise-scale programs that move beyond fragmented initiatives toward scalable, AI-ready data foundations delivering measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Originating, qualifying, and developing Data & AI opportunities, building a pipeline anchored on deals valued at £3–5M+
• Leading pursuit strategy and deal shaping for complex Data & AI transformations, owning commercial framing and value propositions
• Building trusted executive relationships with senior stakeholders including CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of AI
• Advising executives on how Data & AI investments translate into business outcomes such as growth, efficiency, and risk reduction
• Identifying priority accounts, whitespace, and repeatable plays that scale Data & AI revenue
• Partnering with practice leaders, architects, and technical teams to shape differentiated solutions grounded in delivery capability
• Connecting data platforms, governance, AI/ML, and agentic enterprise foundations to tangible business outcomes
• Ensuring opportunities are deliverable with quality and predictability, driving land-and-expand transformation programs
• Contributing to external market positioning through industry-relevant narratives and insights

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a leader with proven commercial success originating and shaping large consulting or transformation deals in Data & AI or adjacent domains. You must demonstrate strong commercial acumen with the ability to build pipeline, shape deals, and drive conversion through transformation leadership.

Essential qualifications include:

• Proven track record of originating and shaping large deals valued at £3–5M+ in Data & AI transformation
• Senior industry or consulting experience with credibility at executive levels
• Deep understanding of how Data & AI capabilities translate into business outcomes
• Strong experience in business value delivery and ROI generation with advanced AI solutions across industries such as financial services, manufacturing, travel, telecommunications, media, gaming, or life sciences
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI solutions and use case execution
• Strong practical understanding across the data and AI stack—platforms, governance, and AI/ML—sufficient to independently explore client problems and define transformation opportunities
• Ability to articulate value cases spanning data modernization and AI adoption, showing a connected path from data investment to AI-driven outcomes
• Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills
• Ability to move between executive business conversations and technical discussions, translating client needs into commercially compelling and technically credible opportunities
• Strong collaboration skills to work within account structures while partnering with client partners and practice leaders
