Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Observability (x/f/m)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthtech organization seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Observability to join their Platform Engineering team in Paris. This role focuses on building and scaling observability infrastructure at a European level.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the observability strategy across the platform, with emphasis on scalable, developer-friendly logging and tracing capabilities
• Identifying and driving large-scale cross-cutting reliability initiatives, including improvements to incident detection, response, and postmortem analysis
• Participating in on-call rotation and actively improving the on-call experience by refining alerting, reducing noise, and ensuring actionable telemetry
• Working within a feature team to develop logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting capabilities
• Contributing to platform reliability and debuggability at scale

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale production platforms
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of Helm for managing Kubernetes manifests and ArgoCD for GitOps workflows
• Deep expertise in observability tooling and architecture, including:
  • Logging: Fluent Bit, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Vector
  • Tracing: OpenTelemetry or proprietary APMs
  • Metrics: Prometheus, Thanos, Datadog, or equivalent
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, Python, Go, Java, etc.) and deep understanding of infrastructure as code principles
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills for performance issues in complex environments
• Fluency in English

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience contributing to open-source observability projects
• Background working in high-growth tech environments
• Passion for developer experience and platform engineering

Position details: Full-time permanent position in Paris, France with hybrid work setup (up to 2 remote days per week). Start date: as soon as possible.
