Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their PMO team on a remote basis within Germany. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of technical projects across development teams and business functions, serving as a critical link between technology and business strategy.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Translating ambiguous requirements into executable plans and structured roadmaps
• Coordinating priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and parallel workstreams
• Identifying resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early in project lifecycles
• Ensuring transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management
• Working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and comparable platforms
• Shaping and developing PMO standards and processes
• Supporting portfolio alignment and prioritization activities
• Mentoring junior project managers and sharing knowledge across the organization
• Reporting directly to senior leadership on strategic execution initiatives

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery environments
• Proven end-to-end delivery ownership of cross-functional initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams
• Strong experience in stakeholder and escalation management
• High degree of ownership and composure in environments with shifting priorities and ambiguity
• Confident use of common PM tooling such as Jira and Confluence (or comparable solutions)
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Professional fluency in English

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with agile scaling, PMO, or portfolio management practices
• German language skills
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PSM)

This is a full-time, permanent position based remotely in Germany, with options for hybrid or on-site work depending on your proximity to office locations in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, or Munich.
