We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization in their search for a Junior Controller / Junior Finance Manager with strong development potential. This position is based in Düsseldorf and offers the unique opportunity to be part of the management team from day one, while building your expertise and seniority through active operational involvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a full member of the management team while actively working hands-on in daily accounting, controlling, and cost accounting operations
• Gradually assume technical and personnel responsibility for the finance team across two German locations, growing into a team leadership role
• Provide advisory support to executive management on investment decisions, pricing calculations, and ad-hoc analyses through thorough financial data analysis
• Derive and implement process optimization measures based on financial insights
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal group guidelines including US-GAAP and SOX standards
• Contribute significantly to reporting and financial statement preparation
• Drive modernization, standardization, and simplification of internal processes and systems in close cooperation with IT and global teams

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed business administration degree with clear focus on controlling and accounting
• Relevant professional experience in controlling, as well as in standard cost calculation and analysis
• Strong development potential and willingness to grow into a leadership position
• Negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English
• Pronounced hands-on mentality – you understand that this role requires active participation, not just delegation
• First leadership experience is a plus but not required; what matters most is genuine motivation to grow into this responsibility
• Proficient use of MS Office; experience with BI solutions and Oracle ERP system advantageous
• Strong affinity for numbers, analytical thinking, and structured, independent working style
• Availability: Notice period significantly under 6 months is a strong advantage for this placement
