Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential private equity portfolio company in Munich seeking a Managing Director (m/f/d) for a roll-up strategy in the industrial components sector.

As successor to the founder, your core responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a smooth transition and handover with the founding team
• Building trust and buy-in across the organization
• Leading the company on a sustainable growth and development trajectory
• Operational management of the business and ensuring seamless daily operations
• Defining and hands-on implementing operational development projects
• Achieving operational results, KPIs, P&L targets, and budget objectives
• Authentically representing the company to internal and external stakeholders
• Working closely with the M&A team on growth initiatives

You will have sole representation authority with full P&L responsibility. The company has been successfully positioned in an attractive niche for over 30 years, offers a broad product portfolio, achieves strong EBITDA margins, and benefits from recurring revenue streams. The position requires four days per week on-site initially in Southern Germany.

What We're Looking For

• Strong entrepreneurial drive, ambitious and self-motivated
• Hands-on management experience in an excellent organization
• Pragmatic implementer with experience in operational development projects, ideally in a technical or digital B2B context
• Experience in personnel leadership, ideally in a mid-market environment
• B2B sales experience is advantageous
• Preferably experience at a top-tier strategic consulting firm
• Proven track record in building and leading diverse teams
• Experience with P&L and budget responsibility
• Fluency in German is required for this role
