About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clinical research organization seeking a Clinical Operations Lead (Clinical Trial Manager) based in Germany. This is a home-based position offering oversight of clinical trial operations at a regional or global level.

In this role, you will provide leadership to Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and investigator sites, ensuring compliance with monitoring plans, protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and local regulations. You will serve as the primary liaison between CRAs and clinical project teams while driving enrollment strategies, site performance, and quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall oversight of regional CRAs to ensure site compliance with study protocols, ICH-GCP, local regulations, and timelines
  • Conduct co-monitoring visits as required to support site and CRA performance and compliance
  • Review visit reports for quality, compliance, and appropriate site management
  • Manage site and country performance metrics including recruitment, data collection, document collection, and TMF review
  • Oversee regional startup and feasibility activities
  • Conduct regular global and individual CRA calls with monitoring and site management teams
  • Attend sponsor meetings to provide status updates on country and site progress
  • Provide project-specific training and mentoring to regional CRAs on study procedures, clinical plans, and timelines
  • Serve as first point of contact for regional CRAs on study-specific questions and issues, escalating appropriately
  • Develop monitoring plans, training materials, and study tools for sites and CRAs
  • Develop and implement enrollment and recruitment strategies with clinical project teams
  • Prepare and present materials for sponsor kickoff meetings, investigator meetings, site qualification visits, and site initiation visits
  • Conduct CRA assessment visits to evaluate performance against monitoring responsibilities
  • Contribute to financial project management processes including revenue recognition and site payment review
  • May manage investigator sites directly, including CRA responsibilities, on a temporary or permanent basis

What We're Looking For

  • College diploma or degree with 7-9 years of related experience and continuous training, OR undergraduate university degree (Bachelor's or Honours Bachelor's) with 4-6 years of experience plus substantial ongoing job-related training
  • Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or Nursing specialty preferred, or SoCRA and/or ACRP Certification/Designation
  • Minimum of 3 years of CRA experience required
  • Strong experience with EDC systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German
  • Highly effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, task-driven, and highly organized work style
  • Strong understanding of GCPs and local regulations as they relate to clinical monitoring, IRB/EC, and investigator responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability in report writing and critical understanding of clinical research documents
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
