Math Content Teacher – Mandarin Speaking Required

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential EdTech organization seeking Part-Time Math Content Teachers who are fluent in Mandarin. This remote role involves delivering elementary-level mathematics instruction through a virtual learning platform, typically 12-20 hours per week with scheduling primarily during weekends and weekday afternoons.

Location: Canada (Remote)
Employment Type: Part-Time (12-20 hours/week)
Language Requirement: Mandarin speaking required; teaching delivery in English
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual elementary-level mathematics lessons through a proprietary teaching platform
• Actively engage and manage online classrooms of up to 18 students
• Prepare and deliver lessons using provided curriculum and teaching guidance
• Grade homework and provide essential teaching-related services
• Communicate effectively with students and parents, offering timely and personalized feedback
• Maintain consistent availability during weekday evenings and weekends
• Commit to teaching for at least one full semester (Spring: Jan-May, Summer: June-Aug, or Fall: Aug-Dec)

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or above in any major (Education or STEM-related fields preferred)
• Candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree are eligible to apply
• Fluency in Mandarin is required
• Ability to commit to at least one complete semester beginning Spring 2026
• Availability to work weekday evenings and weekends
• Strong passion for teaching and working with children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of responsibility and enthusiasm for education
• Prior math teaching experience is a plus but not required
• Elementary math competition learning or teaching experience is beneficial
