Data Scientist, Product Analytics

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology client seeking a Data Scientist, Product Analytics. In this role, you will work with one of the largest and most complex data sets in the industry to solve challenging problems that impact billions of users and millions of businesses globally. You will partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Research, Data Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to drive product strategy and investment decisions through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using diverse analytical and statistical approaches
• Apply technical expertise in quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to develop product strategies
• Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics
• Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, driving roadmaps through insights and recommendations
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions
• Tell data-driven stories that convince and influence partners with clear insights and recommendations
• Build credibility as a trusted strategic partner through structured and clear communication

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum of 6 years of work experience in analytics (minimum of 4 years with a Ph.D.)
• Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R)
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field preferred
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize and redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Strong product intuition and analytical mindset
• Ability to develop hypotheses and employ rigorous analytical approaches, methodologies, and frameworks to test them
