SecOps Engineer I

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential conversational AI technology company seeking a SecOps Engineer I to join their security operations team in Bulgaria. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud security infrastructure while supporting enterprise-scale digital platforms.

Our client operates at significant scale, powering hundreds of millions of conversational interactions monthly for global enterprise customers. You'll join a security-focused team responsible for protecting cloud infrastructure, investigating incidents, and maintaining robust security operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for security operations tool alerts, triaging, and ongoing maintenance
• Collaborate with security teams and stakeholders to test systems and identify vulnerabilities
• Assist with cybersecurity incident investigation and response activities
• Monitor security-related issues through email and ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution
• Troubleshoot problems with on-premise and cloud-based security tools and infrastructure
• Support documentation efforts including SOPs, playbooks, and procedural walkthroughs
• Stay current with adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and emerging security trends
• Ensure IT and operations infrastructure maintains effective performance and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Document, monitor, and report on security-related systems and processes
• Evaluate and recommend security tools in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Work with IT and system teams on hardening and configuration management aligned with security best practices
• Perform analysis of transactional data, log files, and system outputs to identify malicious or anomalous activity
• Participate in on-call rotation to support security operations

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in IT or system teams within a SaaS or cloud-based company
• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud service environments
• Practical experience with GCP, Elastic, OKTA, IDM, Active Directory, JAMF
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems
• Experience responding to security incidents and performing log analysis
• Background in system security engineering or information security engineering
• Experience establishing procedures, reports, SLAs, and escalation processes
• Valid CompTIA CySA+ Certification
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
• Ability to support during US business hours
• Availability for on-call duty

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Python or Go programming languages
