Senior Software Engineer | Voice | Full-Stack

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology company at the forefront of real-time language solutions. Our client is building sophisticated voice interpretation capabilities that enable seamless global communication for enterprise teams and frontline workers. Having successfully launched initial features in late 2024, they are now scaling rapidly and need exceptional full-stack engineers to join their Voice engineering team.

This is a London-based position offering hybrid work arrangements (two days per week in office). You'll be joining a 0-to-1 engineering environment where you'll tackle some of the most challenging problems in real-time AI interaction, from eliminating transcript instability to achieving sub-millisecond latency in streaming architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy end-to-end features across the full stack, from high-performance frontend interfaces to streaming audio services and AI inference integration
• Debug and resolve complex edge cases unique to real-time communication, including latency spikes, transcript flicker, audio glitches, and unstable network conditions
• Prototype new features rapidly in early stages, then refactor for production scale as requirements solidify
• Optimize systems for human experience, ensuring that technical accuracy translates to seamless user interactions
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional squad alongside product managers, designers, and AI researchers to scope and solve challenging technical and product problems
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate velocity and focus cognitive energy on high-value architectural decisions

What We're Looking For

• Full-stack engineering capability with fluency in modern frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend technologies (Node.js/TypeScript or willingness to ramp from a strongly transferable language)
• Experience building real-time systems: WebRTC, WebSockets, streaming architectures, or other latency-sensitive environments
• Product-first mindset with deep care for customer experience and how technical decisions impact business outcomes
• High agency and ownership mentality—you identify inefficiencies and fix them without waiting for direction
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where you'll help define the path forward
• Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to eliminate repetitive work and accelerate delivery
• Senior-level experience with a track record of shipping impactful features across the stack
