Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Identity & Audience

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential streaming television advertising platform based in Paris. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on identity resolution and audience modeling at significant scale. You'll be joining a data platform team working on core infrastructure that powers targeting, measurement, and machine learning systems across the organization.

This position reports to the Head of Data Platform and offers the opportunity to shape technical roadmap decisions on problems that directly impact business outcomes. The work involves turning billions of raw events into coherent user and household entities that drive advertising decisions.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and build production algorithms that resolve users and households from billions of streaming events
• Transform machine learning, clustering, and statistical methods into scalable production systems
• Lead technical projects end-to-end, from stakeholder requirements through research, implementation, and post-launch optimization
• Build platform-level identity resolution tooling that enables other teams to resolve identity within their own event streams
• Design systems for scale from inception, ensuring solutions work at petabyte scale
• Collaborate with product, sales, ML, and finance stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical deliverables
• Surface technical tradeoffs, risks, and architectural decisions to stakeholders clearly
• Partner with other ML engineers on MLOps infrastructure and best practices

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or data scientist building and operating production services
• Proven experience working at data scale using tools such as Dagster, Spark, or Iceberg
• Hands-on familiarity with MLOps tooling and production practices
• Track record of leading technical projects from ambiguous requirements through to shipped systems
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, including the ability to adjust technical detail for different audiences
• Sound judgment about when to invest in abstraction versus keeping implementations simple
• Ability to provide constructive pushback when needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in streaming television advertising or programmatic advertising environments

Location and Working Arrangements

This role is based in Paris with a hybrid schedule (three days per week in office). Our client will support relocation to Paris for exceptional candidates. The engineering and product teams meet in person quarterly on a global basis, and there is an annual company offsite.
