Partner Enablement Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech client in London who is building the next generation of financial operations software. They've moved beyond direct implementation and now work with a network of accounting and consulting partners—from boutique firms to recognisable names—who deliver their platform to end clients. They need someone to make those partner teams as capable at implementation as their own internal experts.

You'll be the product and delivery authority at the centre of their partner enablement programme. Your role is to train partner consultants, certify them to a high standard, coach them through their first client go-lives, and remain their technical lifeline as they scale. You'll work with partner implementation leads, their consultants, and the Finance Directors and CFOs they serve—senior, technically demanding stakeholders who expect you to keep pace on multi-entity accounting, consolidation, intercompany flows, and statutory reporting.

This isn't pure delivery work. You're not shipping one implementation at a time; you're enabling many to happen through others. Every partner activation brings questions the playbook doesn't cover yet: an edge case in consolidation logic, a migration scenario that's new, a delivery habit that needs course-correction before certification. You work the problem, teach the solution, capture it for reuse, and move to the next one.

Responsibilities

• Own the partner enablement journey end to end: from initial product deep-dives through to certification and ongoing support
• Deliver structured training curriculum covering product workflows, implementation methodology, data migration, and live scenario sessions
• Run shadow and reverse-shadow delivery cycles with partner teams on real client work; assess readiness objectively and gate certification on demonstrated competence
• Join partners on their first client implementations to hold delivery quality to the expected standard
• Coach partner consultants on translating client finance requirements into platform configuration: chart of accounts design, entity structures, consolidation rules, reporting frameworks
• Identify partner deliveries at risk of going off-track and intervene before clients are impacted
• Challenge partner shortcuts or approaches that won't work in production, and bring teams along with better solutions
• Build the enablement library as you go: training materials, implementation playbooks, templates, recordings—so knowledge compounds and scales
• Feed partner insights and client edge cases back into product development and programme evolution
• Serve as the go-to product expert: able to demo any workflow credibly and answer hard configuration and accounting questions under pressure

What We're Looking For

• Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline
• 5+ years in finance transformation, ERP implementation, or finance advisory roles—Big 4, finance-focused consulting, or vendor professional services (examples: NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday Financials). Prior experience training, enabling, or leading other consultants is valued
• Strong accounting fluency: you can hold technical conversations with Controllers and Finance Directors on multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, accrual accounting, and statutory vs management reporting. Qualified accountant status is a plus but not required
• Proven ability to teach complex product or accounting concepts clearly, whether to junior consultants or C-level finance leaders
• Track record of bringing structure to ambiguous programmes: clear planning, sharp prioritisation, judgement on what matters
• Ability to build trust with partner leadership and client finance teams through consistent delivery and clear communication
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and through people outside your direct organisation—partners deliver, you enable them to succeed
• Quick diagnostic skills for implementation issues; able to deliver practical solutions that balance partner autonomy, customer needs, and technical constraints
• Hands-on implementation experience from vendor, consulting, or customer-side roles—not casual ERP usage but ownership of real delivery work. End-to-end go-live accountability is a strong advantage
• Active user of AI tools with specific views on where they add value in delivery and enablement contexts
• Fluent English; additional European languages (especially German) are a plus
• Bonus: led a go-live as the accountable delivery owner; worked across multiple jurisdictions (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAPs); built a training or certification programme; experienced a project failure and learned from it

• Your implementation experience is narrow (single ERP, single-client focus)—you'll enable multiple partner teams simultaneously
• You require mature delivery infrastructure or large teams around you to operate—this is a startup environment demanding ownership and self-direction
• You view training as reading slides—the model here is demo, shadow, reverse shadow, assess; no one touches client work before proving readiness
• You can't cite a concrete example of telling a senior partner or client "no" and making it hold
• You're sceptical of AI tooling—the client organisation is deeply committed to it and expects the same from their team
