Fluidic System Engineer / Architect (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace engineering organization in München that is expanding its propulsion systems team. Our client works on advanced spacecraft systems, from launcher propulsion to orbital operations. We're seeking a Fluidic System Engineer or Architect to define architectures and drive technical execution across complex multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Define fluidic system architectures in collaboration with domain architects across multiple engineering disciplines
• Perform fluidic simulations including performance calculations, steady-state and transient CFD analysis, and thermal modeling
• Execute systems engineering activities including requirements engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
• Provide technical leadership to design and mechanical engineering teams
• Drive manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test (MAIT) activities with hands-on support
• Interface directly with customers and suppliers on technical matters
• Support proposal preparation and business development efforts

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise in fluidic systems. Engineers with 3+ years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. We are also interested in more experienced professionals with 10+ years in fluidic system architecture and leadership roles. The position level and scope will be tailored to your experience and demonstrated impact.

Must-have qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in fluidic systems engineering
• Knowledge of space systems and subsystems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Hands-on mindset for hardware-related activities
• Proactive, structured approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively

Highly valued experience:

• Propulsion systems architecture, particularly with high-test peroxide (HTP) and/or hydrazine/MMH
• Propellants ground handling including safety requirements
• Fluidic system simulation tools such as ECOSIM, ESPSS, Simulink, or Matlab
• MBSE concepts and requirements engineering principles
• Familiarity with ECSS standards
