About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential healthcare organization focused on advancing patient access to clinical research. We are seeking a Freelance Study Coordinator with oncology expertise to support patient recruitment and education efforts in the München-Flughafen area.
This remote freelance role involves conducting empathetic, unscripted conversations with cancer patients who are exploring clinical trial participation. You will serve as a trusted resource—helping patients understand their options, encouraging dialogue with their care teams, and coordinating communication between treating physicians and research sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct compassionate, unscripted telephone conversations with cancer patients about clinical trial options
- Explain the purpose, process, and considerations of clinical trials using clear, accessible language
- Introduce relevant studies based on general criteria such as cancer type, treatment stage, and geographic location
- Encourage informed discussions between patients and their treating physicians
- Coordinate initial outreach between physicians and research sites when a trial may be appropriate
- Maintain ethical standards in all patient communications and respect patient autonomy
- Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality across all interactions
What We're Looking For
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) – required
- At least 3 years of experience in oncology, clinical trials, or patient education
- Prior involvement in oncology trials or patient recruitment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with clinical trial workflows, patient navigation, or healthcare communication
- Fluent German – required
- Professional English – required
- Professional Spanish is a plus
- Empathetic and professional communication style, comfortable with sensitive topics
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to explain medical concepts without providing clinical advice
- Respectful of ethical boundaries and patient autonomy
- Location: Remote from anywhere; München-Flughafen region preferred
