About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential GovTech organization building AI-powered platforms for public administration. Our client serves dozens of municipalities and regional governments across Europe, focusing on climate action and administrative workflow optimization. This is a chance to build meaningful software that directly improves how public services operate.
We're seeking a (Senior) Full-Stack Engineer to join their Munich-based engineering team. You'll own features end-to-end, working across the stack with TypeScript, React, NestJS, and PostgreSQL. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to shape product direction and technical architecture, especially at the senior level.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship tools for emissions analysis, cross-department coordination, and administrative automation
- Own features from discovery through implementation, release, and iteration—collaborating closely with product and customer success
- Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed with security, testing, and long-term maintainability
- Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and process improvements
- At senior level: guide architectural decisions and mentor team members
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining full-stack web applications in production
- Strong skills with TypeScript, React, NestJS (Node.js), and PostgreSQL
- Ability to break down ambiguous requirements, flag uncertainties early, and seek feedback proactively
- Motivation to improve public-sector work (prior GovTech or climate experience is not required)
- Authorization to work in the EU
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Background in data pipelines or AI-powered features
- Code samples or project portfolio (optional but welcome)
Mid-level and senior engineers are both encouraged to apply. You don't need to meet every requirement to be considered.
Benefits at Our Client
- Meaningful influence on product direction and technical decisions
- Competitive salary based on experience, plus virtual employee participation (VSOP)
- 30 days paid annual leave
- Direct feedback culture with shared learning and team events
- Wellness membership (EGYM Wellpass / Urban Sports Club), bike leasing, and sustainability brand discounts
- Location: Munich
