Azure Infrastructure Database Administrator

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology client seeking Azure Infrastructure Database Administrators at multiple experience levels. We're looking for skilled professionals with hands-on Azure infrastructure experience to support enterprise cloud environments. This is a full-time position based in the United States with minimal travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud resources
• Provision and manage Azure compute and storage services, including virtual machines, managed disks, storage accounts, and Azure Files
• Support Azure networking, including virtual networks, subnets, security groups, private endpoints, routing, and connectivity
• Manage Azure identity and access controls, including RBAC and Microsoft Entra ID
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or comparable technologies
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security; troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Support backup, recovery, patching, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams to support secure and reliable Azure environments
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring as appropriate

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of Azure compute and storage concepts and services
• Experience provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure resources
• Knowledge of Azure networking, identity and access management, security, backup, and recovery
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux workloads in Azure
• Experience with scripting, automation, or Infrastructure as Code technologies
• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure role-based certification beyond the Fundamentals (AZ-900) level, such as Azure Administrator Associate or comparable intermediate/advanced certification
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, including developing and maintaining infrastructure configurations
• Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, or similar scripting and automation tools
• Experience integrating Infrastructure as Code with CI/CD or DevSecOps pipelines
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government cloud environments
