Working Student/Intern Sales & Business Development (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client in the industrial technology sector. They are seeking a Working Student or Intern to support their Sales and Business Development function in Cologne. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the entire sales cycle while working with a dynamic, growth-focused team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support our client's Sales and Growth teams through data-driven insights, lead qualification, and go-to-market execution. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing market trends, customer segments, and sales performance to generate actionable insights for portfolio and sales management
• Supporting lead qualification through structured research and data-driven assessment processes
• Maintaining high-quality customer and opportunity data within CRM systems to ensure pipeline transparency
• Contributing to international market entry initiatives through market analyses, competitive benchmarking, and rollout support
• Preparing commercial documents including quotations, order confirmations, and standard contractual materials
• Coordinating preparation, documentation, and follow-up for customer meetings, sales reviews, and internal workshops
• Participating in the full sales cycle from marketing through customer onboarding, supporting campaigns, events, and digital initiatives

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings the following qualifications and attributes:

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Ideally, initial practical experience through internships or student roles in customer service, marketing, or customer-facing functions
• Available for a six-month internship or working student position (shorter durations may be considered based on availability and experience)
• Highly organized with strong independent work capabilities and a demonstrated sense of ownership and reliability
• Advanced communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
• Enthusiasm for digitalization and willingness to learn B2B SaaS solutions
• Hands-on mentality and readiness to take ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent language skills in both German and English (C1 level or higher)
• Commitment to spending at least one day per week at the Cologne office, with flexibility for additional in-person collaboration
