Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential biopharmaceutical client seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison specializing in neuromuscular disease for their Southeast territory. In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary scientific resource between our client and healthcare providers within your assigned geographic territory
- Identify, qualify, and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and investigators in the neuromuscular space
- Develop and execute territory management plans aligned with medical affairs strategy
- Engage in scientific exchange regarding disease states, mechanisms of action, clinical study design and results, and development pipelines
- Collect, analyze, and communicate scientific insights to medical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Respond to medical inquiries with complete compliance to legal and regulatory guidelines
- Support company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies through site identification, investigator engagement, and trial communication
- Represent the organization at medical conferences, providing coverage and delivering session summaries
- Participate in or lead advisory board meetings at local, regional, and national levels
- Generate timely insights reports based on healthcare provider interactions, congress attendance, and scientific literature
- Provide internal education on therapeutic area updates and scientific developments
- Collaborate cross-functionally while maintaining appropriate separation from commercial activities
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate brings:
- An accredited doctorate degree in life sciences or basic sciences (MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, D.Sc, or Ph.D.)
- 5+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience specifically in neuromuscular disease, with deep scientific knowledge of neuromuscular therapeutic products
- Product launch experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills including active listening, confident scientific presentation, and the ability to engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic plans that align with organizational objectives
- Strong collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in team environments
- Thorough understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks governing healthcare provider interactions
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and self-directed initiative
- Ability to quickly learn, retain, and present complex scientific information with accuracy
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and accept guidance from leadership
- Current residence within the Southeast territory (relocation candidates will not be considered)
- Availability to travel up to 60% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends

This is a remote position based in the Southeast United States with significant travel requirements.
