Sr. Platform Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization with operations across multiple countries. Our client is modernizing their technology platform and seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to bridge current infrastructure operations with next-generation platform capabilities. This role combines hands-on infrastructure management with strategic platform engineering, helping drive the organization's evolution toward PaaS, serverless technologies, and developer self-service.

This position is based in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize existing server operations and endpoint engineering infrastructure
• Design and implement PaaS and serverless solutions to modernize the platform
• Develop self-service portals and automation frameworks for internal teams
• Collaborate across teams to evolve processes and adopt platform engineering best practices
• Champion modernization initiatives and support organizational transition to platform-centric approaches
• Manage current IaaS infrastructure while building pathways to more advanced platform services
• Ensure endpoint stability and release engineering processes remain robust during transformation

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering
• Hands-on expertise with server operations and endpoint management (Intune experience required)
• Deep experience with IaaS environments, particularly Azure
• Proven experience with at least one major PaaS or serverless platform
• Strong automation background using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tooling
• Demonstrated ability to build self-service tooling that gains developer adoption
• Experience leading technical direction and influencing teams without formal management authority
• Background in release engineering processes
• Experience with internal developer portals strongly preferred
• Platform product thinking mindset—treating internal teams as customers
• Familiarity with FinOps or cloud cost optimization at scale is a plus
