Child and Adolescent Therapist Intake & Therapy – Sterling, VA

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential pediatric mental health organization serving families across multiple states. We're seeking a Child and Adolescent Therapist to conduct intake evaluations and provide ongoing therapy in a remote capacity supporting the Sterling, VA market.

This role combines initial assessment work with sustained therapeutic relationships, allowing you to guide young patients from their first session through their entire treatment journey. You'll work with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–26, delivering evidence-based care via telehealth with flexible scheduling that includes afterschool, evening, and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual telehealth intake sessions using evidence-based assessment practices tailored to developmental stages
• Provide ongoing individual therapy, building consistent therapeutic relationships over time
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on continuous assessment of patient progress
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to ensure appropriate treatment matches
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and family specialists to coordinate whole-child care
• Maintain comprehensive intake and ongoing documentation in electronic medical records
• Educate families about therapeutic approaches and support long-term treatment engagement
• Participate in weekly clinical consultations for professional development
• Involve family members and outside providers as appropriate throughout the care journey

What We're Looking For

• Independent licensure in Virginia as LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW-C, PsyD, or PhD
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and adolescent patients
• Minimum 1 year of experience delivering care in telehealth or virtual settings
• Strong clinical skills in evidence-based assessment and therapeutic practices for pediatric populations
• Experience working across developmental stages and with neurodiverse populations
• Ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with patients and families from first contact
• Comfort using technology including Google Suite, EMR systems, and virtual care platforms
• Collaborative approach and willingness to engage with multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to accommodate family scheduling needs and provide patient-centered care
• Commitment to clinical excellence and openness to feedback and professional growth

Pay
