Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential financial services technology organization seeking a Principal Technical Architect to join their team remotely. In this role, you will:
- Apply abstract reuse patterns to integrations and code across multiple platforms and programming languages
- Provide technical leadership for medium to large financial institutions when building platform integrations
- Co-lead integrations from third-party systems using various technical solutions tailored to each unique project
- Document processes and procedures to streamline integration methodology
- Build and document testing requirements for complex projects
- Deliver solution and integration development including requirements, functional specifications, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment
- Evaluate vendor API and interface specifications
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Translate customer requirements into actionable implementation plans
- Design solutions that meet customer needs while tracking time and billable hours effectively
- Assist sales and sales engineering teams on technical prospect calls as needed
- Leverage AI/ML capabilities to enhance integration frameworks, solution design, system automation, and operational efficiency
- Support responsible use of AI-driven approaches in cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices
- Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for scalable and secure AI integration
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a master's degree; or equivalent work experience
- Ability to design, build, articulate, and defend architectural designs, primarily around integrations and UI components
- Experience supporting DevOps processes and building solutions with various software development practices
- Capability to apply engineering principles to code, flow, and integration patterns using on and off-platform tools
- Strong documentation skills for complex solutions and customer-facing materials
- Salesforce Dev401 certification
- Strong research, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of data management, SQL, and RDBMS technologies
- Experience using ETL/integration platforms
- Financial services industry experience
- Experience with developer toolkits, migration tools, and web services
- Exposure to platform configuration and custom development
- Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts, design patterns, and object-oriented languages
Preferred qualifications:
- Large financial institution experience, particularly with loan origination/servicing systems and enterprise architecture frameworks
- Informatica experience
- Experience with Apex, SOQL, XML, JavaScript
- System Architect certification
- Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Java, Ruby, C#, or C++
- Experience with ETL/integration platforms such as Cast Iron, Informatica, or SnapLogic
- Strong presentation and communication skills
This position may require occasional travel.
