Application Security Analyst I

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial technology organization seeking an Application Security Analyst to advance their secure software development program. In this role, you will integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle by partnering closely with application development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to identify, assess, and remediate application security risks.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading application security assessments and vulnerability management activities across multiple business units
• Implementing and managing Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), container security scanning, and CI/CD security controls
• Driving Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform adoption and managing security tool integrations
• Partnering with development teams to remediate security findings and improve secure coding practices
• Developing and maintaining AppSec automation, workflows, and operational runbooks
• Supporting threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure design consultations
• Prioritizing and managing remediation efforts for critical and high-risk vulnerabilities
• Managing AppSec intake processes and supporting strategic security transformation initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of Application Security or Secure Development experience
• Hands-on experience with SAST, SCA, DAST, ASPM, container security, and CI/CD security controls
• Practical experience with GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar development platforms
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, secure SDLC, and vulnerability management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, GSEC, GWAPT, or other GIAC certifications

This is a remote position based in the United States.

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $75,000 - $83,000 annually, based on your knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401K plan with company match.
