Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential eCommerce organization that operates digital platforms in the home and garden sector across Europe. As a Product Designer focused on eCommerce, you will:
- Analyze the online shop to identify friction points in the purchase journey and derive targeted optimization strategies
- Conceptualize solutions such as smart product configurators that help customers make confident purchasing decisions
- Conduct user interviews and gather direct customer feedback to inform design decisions
- Create concrete mockups and prototypes that are directly actionable for the development team
- Experiment and rapidly prototype using modern AI tools within an agile in-house environment
- Review and validate implemented features for their effectiveness in the live production environment
- Take ownership of your own ideas from conception through implementation, working in close collaboration with developers
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer-problem thinking rather than screen-focused design, with emphasis on understanding why customers abandon their journey
- Solid hands-on experience in design (Figma, prototyping, design systems) OR a technical background with understanding of modern frontend stacks (ideally Nuxt)
- Ability to write specifications that software developers can implement without needing clarification
- Enthusiasm for experimentation and using modern AI tools for rapid prototyping and development
- Self-directed work style, drive, and desire to see your own ideas through to completion
- German language skills required for this position in Offenbach am Main, Hessen, Deutschland
