Senior Commercial Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their London team. Our client is a rapidly growing company working at the intersection of consumer finance and advanced analytics, using data science and machine learning to transform how customers access financial products.

This role sits within the pricing and analytics function, where you'll work on projects spanning pricing strategy, funnel optimization, and new product development. You'll collaborate closely with credit and product teams to shape how customers discover and engage with the organization's offerings.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of consumer finance products and the data that drives strategic decisions
• Frame ambiguous business problems into structured, testable analytical questions
• Research and propose improvements to pricing strategies across the customer funnel
• Support the development and launch of new product features through rigorous analysis
• Define metrics, form hypotheses, and evaluate trade-offs to guide commercial decisions
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders through written reports and presentations
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of analytical methods

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of experience in an analytical or product-facing role, ideally within financial technology
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to structure complex problems
• Confident working with SQL to independently investigate and answer business questions
• Comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate analysis and research workflows
• Experience defining metrics and evaluating trade-offs to inform strategic decisions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to contribute effectively in team settings
• Self-driven with willingness to take ownership of analyses and deliverables
• Prior experience with pricing or financial modeling (nice to have)
• Interest in Python or other data analysis tools (nice to have)
