Senior Specialist, Employee Relations – EMEA

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential global HR technology organization seeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist for the EMEA region. In this remote role, you will manage complex employee exits and provide first-level employee relations support across multiple international jurisdictions.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end employee offboarding processes across EMEA markets, ensuring legal compliance and exceptional service delivery
• Providing expert guidance on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes
• Leading and facilitating sensitive meetings including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and termination discussions
• Negotiating positive outcomes in complex terminations while balancing competing stakeholder interests
• Coordinating with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliant offboarding
• Drafting and administering all termination documentation with strict attention to privacy and confidentiality regulations
• Processing offboarding activities within the internal HRIS platform and maintaining accurate employee records
• Conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources
• Supporting clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced customer experience

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle
• Strong background managing both voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Deep knowledge of employment laws and regulations spanning various EMEA markets
• Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, and provide practical solutions in ambiguous environments
• Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals
• Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills
• Confidence leading difficult conversations to positive outcomes while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus
• Aptitude for process innovation and optimization, with a focus on automation and best practices
• Strong operational efficiency with thorough record-keeping and data integrity awareness
• Tech-savvy approach with ability to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote environment with multiple priorities
• Proactive, self-motivated mindset with strong ownership and accountability
• Demonstrated automation and AI fluency capabilities
