Analyst – Education (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data analytics organization seeking an Analyst to join their Education division in Hamburg. Our client operates internationally, managing data-driven projects that measure educational impact and quality across global institutions. This role offers the chance to work on collaborative ranking projects, develop new data products, and contribute to an international team focused on making education insights accessible and transparent.

Responsibilities

• Support multi-faceted collaborative projects with international clients and media partners focused on the education sector (universities, colleges, educational technology companies)
• Maintain and develop education rankings and data products, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability
• Manage ranking projects with emphasis on data quality and transparent outcomes
• Gradually assume project responsibility and engage in direct customer contact
• Conduct research and analysis of primary and secondary data from education institutions across various countries
• Plan, implement, and analyze international surveys within the education sector
• Present results efficiently and clearly using Excel and PowerPoint
• Contribute ideas for new data-driven education products and workflow improvements

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Social Science, or related field preferred; Bachelor's with significant relevant experience considered
• 1-2 years of experience in data analysis and/or project management, ideally in education-focused research (institutional research, strategic planning, education research) or related fields
• Initial experience supporting data-driven insight projects
• Basic understanding of current education trends and policy landscapes
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high initiative and quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly advanced Excel
• Experience with programming languages (such as Python) is advantageous
• Fluent in English; German or other languages a plus
• Highly structured, curious, and motivated to work in an international, cross-functional environment

Location & Work Arrangement

This position is based in Hamburg with a hybrid work model and flexible working hours. The role also includes the option to work from abroad for a defined period each year.
