Korean Freelancer Interpreter

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential language services organization seeking Korean-English interpreters for remote contractor positions based in Uzbekistan. We're looking for skilled linguists who can deliver accurate, professional interpretation services from their home office.

Responsibilities

• Answer interpretation calls professionally while adhering to established interpreter code of conduct
• Maintain high accuracy through excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol standards, avoiding omissions or additions
• Master specific vocabulary for healthcare and medical interpretation contexts
• Explain cultural concepts when necessary to prevent miscommunication, with client permission
• Complete internal professional training programs
• Communicate regularly with and report to your team leader

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in both Korean and English (90% English proficiency required)
• Minimum 6 months of interpretation experience preferred
• Strong ability to convey meaning accurately while respecting interpretation conventions
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity in both Korean and English-speaking contexts
• Technical setup: steady wired internet connection, USB wired headset, Windows 10 or Mac computer
• Ability to work remotely from a dedicated home office in Uzbekistan
• Willingness to complete language testing and background checks as required
