About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential blockchain technology organization for an exciting Applied AI Application Engineer position through their early-career development program. This is a 3-6 month intensive learning opportunity designed for students and recent graduates who want hands-on experience building production AI systems in the digital assets space.

This is a builder role, not a shadowing position. You will own real deliverables, ship code, and work directly alongside senior engineers on LLM-powered applications, agent workflows, and backend systems from day one.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components
• Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, and orchestration patterns
• Implement backend integrations and API services
• Define evaluation metrics, run benchmarks, and analyze system performance
• Optimize AI systems across quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost dimensions
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development and problem-solving
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production AI system design and deployment
• Contribute to backend services, internal tools, or lightweight user interfaces as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027
• Solid programming skills in Python or Java
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working with APIs and debugging
• Demonstrated curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, and automation
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and build working prototypes
• Comfortable learning quickly in fast-moving environments
• Available for 6-month full-time commitment

Preferred Experience:

• Personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications, agent systems, or AI-assisted development
• Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, or workflow orchestration tools
• Experience with Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms
• Backend engineering experience

You are proactive, builder-minded, and already experiment with AI tools independently. You learn quickly and want to turn AI concepts into practical systems that work in production environments.
