Sr. Product Manager, Cloud & AI Transformation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing software organization in their search for a Sr. Product Manager, Cloud & AI Transformation. Our client is evolving from a desktop-focused CAD/CAM platform into a modern, cloud-powered ecosystem with AI-enabled workflows. This strategic leadership role will drive the migration to service-based cloud architecture while integrating intelligent automation and data-driven insights for the manufacturing sector.

As a senior product leader, you'll partner across product, engineering, and business functions to define and execute the roadmap for this next-generation platform transformation. This position requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution to ensure products meet current manufacturer needs while leading the future of connected, AI-empowered machining.

Responsibilities

Cloud & Platform Transformation

• Define the product roadmap for cloud transformation, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business priorities
• Partner with Software Engineering leadership and Architects to define service strategy, modernization phases, and hybrid delivery capabilities
• Drive modular add-on architecture to accelerate feature delivery and partner ecosystem enablement
• Establish technical vision for hybrid delivery models, balancing local compute performance with cloud-powered intelligence
• Oversee PLM and third-party integration across platforms

AI Enablement & Data Strategy

• Partner with AI/ML teams to embed intelligent automation, manufacturing insights, and predictive analytics into workflows
• Define AI-enabled workflows and customer value propositions
• Collaborate with AI Engineering to deliver copilots, automation, and insights
• Evaluate third-party AI copilots and automation tools for integration
• Develop strategies for telemetry, user analytics, and data pipelines that power continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Architects, and Engineering leaders to align transformation roadmap with user needs
• Partner with Product Marketing, UX, and QA to ensure cohesive customer experiences as desktop and cloud modules converge
• Establish feedback loops between development, marketing, customer success, and sales teams
• Define measurable KPIs for transformation success including cloud adoption rates, AI feature engagement, and customer satisfaction

Change Management & Enablement

• Drive organizational readiness for cloud-first and AI-augmented product delivery
• Lead internal communication and enablement programs to align teams on transformation milestones
• Mentor and develop team members in modern SaaS, AI, and cloud product practices
• Oversee early access and beta programs for cloud and AI features

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field required
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering Management, or equivalent preferred
• 15+ years of experience in product management or product transformation leadership within software or industrial technology sectors
• 5+ years of experience managing teams of Product Owners and Product Managers
• Proven track record of leading desktop-to-cloud migrations or large-scale product modernization initiatives

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Strong understanding of cloud architectures (Azure/AWS), SaaS business models, and AI/ML product integration
• Technical fluency with modern development environments, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and data platforms
• Background in CAD/CAM, manufacturing software, or industrial automation
• Experience integrating AI copilots, cloud microservices, or connected ecosystems in enterprise software
• Familiarity with PLM systems and hybrid deployment models
• Experience with SaaS monetization models and organizational change management

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with ability to align cross-functional teams and inspire organizational change
• Proven ability to influence without authority
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical modernization with user-centric product value
