About the Role

This full-time remote position supports Wustl's ophthalmology operations by managing scheduling systems, coordinating patient appointments, and maintaining the calendar infrastructure essential to seamless clinical workflows. You'll be a key operational partner ensuring patients receive timely access to care while providers maintain efficient, well-organized schedules.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage patient scheduling systems to optimize appointment availability and clinical flow across ophthalmology locations
• Coordinate scheduling logistics and maintain provider calendars to maximize clinic efficiency
• Process appointment requests, cancellations, and rescheduling with attention to patient needs and provider requirements
• Maintain accurate scheduling data in electronic health record and scheduling software systems
• Communicate with clinical staff and patients to resolve scheduling conflicts and support continuity of care
• Analyze scheduling patterns and generate reports to identify operational improvements
• Assist with staff scheduling and resource planning as needed to support departmental operations

Qualifications

• Experience with scheduling systems, appointment management, or healthcare administration
