Shipping Receiving Specialist – 2nd Shift

Position Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Receiving Specialist to join our Rockford - Loves Park Campus location. In this second shift role, you'll manage the flow of materials through our warehouse and distribution operations. This full-time position requires reliability, attention to accuracy, and a strong commitment to maintaining safe working conditions during the 2nd shift schedule.

What You'll Do

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Organize, label, and store materials and inventory using established warehouse procedures and tracking systems
• Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure accurate packing, labeling, and shipping documentation
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and according to company standards
• Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials to identify and report any damage or discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and process all shipping and receiving documentation
• Keep the warehouse area organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations and company policies
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and operational issues

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly (up to 50 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation
• Willingness and availability to work the 2nd shift schedule
• Forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work safely in a warehouse environment
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills
