About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology client seeking an IT Helpdesk Engineer to join their Berlin hub. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring five days per week in-person collaboration. Our client is scaling rapidly and needs a tech-savvy generalist who can deliver exceptional IT support while maintaining a seamless user experience across hardware, software, audiovisual systems, and SaaS platforms.
As an IT Helpdesk Engineer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support in the Berlin office, working closely with global teams to ensure consistent service delivery. You'll troubleshoot day-to-day issues, support executives, coordinate event technology needs, and help shape the future of IT service planning and design.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level IT support to team members, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network connectivity problems, and assisting with AV equipment setup and configuration
- Serve as a single point of contact for executive-level technical support in the Berlin hub
- Coordinate with team members to support events and large meetings, mobilizing additional resources as necessary
- Maintain and troubleshoot IT assets including computers, laptops, printers, and AV equipment
- Provision hardware and software for existing team members and new hires
- Support video conferencing systems both in-person and remotely
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventory
- Stay current with IT trends and technologies to recommend service improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT support, A/V equipment management, and event coordination
- Track record of supporting executives and high-profile team members
- Strong knowledge of macOS and Windows operating systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and priorities across multiple projects with minimal guidance
- Experience across IT domains including IAM, MDM, AV, and SaaS administration
- JAMF Certification, Okta Certification, and Windows Certifications are a plus
- Must be based in Berlin or willing to relocate
