Senior Project Manager – Digital Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization based in Berlin. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in digital communications and CMS-based platforms. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex digital projects while working at the intersection of technology, communications strategy, creative services, and content development.

The ideal candidate will bring both technical project delivery skills and a consultative mindset—someone who sees project management as active partnership rather than administrative oversight. You'll work with interdisciplinary teams to shape digital information platforms and websites from concept through implementation and ongoing evolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex digital implementation projects, maintaining control of scope, budget, quality, and timelines throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Lead CMS-based communications projects including websites, information platforms, and digital properties through development, launch, and ongoing optimization
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams spanning technology, digital communications, UX, design, creative, and content disciplines
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements and challenges, translating them into concrete project objectives and actionable solutions
• Identify growth opportunities within existing client relationships and develop project pipelines in partnership with subject matter experts
• Contribute project expertise to proposals, RFP responses, and pitch development (with opportunities to develop these skills further if needed)
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments, ensuring clarity, accountability, and productive collaboration across all project phases
• Apply appropriate project methodologies (agile or traditional) based on project context and team dynamics

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience managing digital implementation projects, particularly websites, information platforms, or other CMS-based solutions
• Consultative approach to project management—you actively shape projects, solutions, and client relationships rather than simply administering tasks
• Genuine interest in understanding client challenges, recognizing opportunities, and developing fitting solutions with cross-functional teams
• Comfort working with both technical development teams and creative disciplines including communications, UX, design, and content
• Familiarity with both agile and traditional project methodologies, with the judgment to apply them appropriately (formal certification is beneficial but not required)
• Experience with business development, presales activities, RFP responses, or proposal development is advantageous
• Background working on public sector projects or with government-adjacent organizations is ideal
• Completed university degree or equivalent practical qualification
• Excellent German language skills in both written and verbal communication
• Confident communication abilities across diverse stakeholder groups
