Head of Data / Tech / E-COM (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consumer brand in München seeking a Head of Data, Technology, and E-Commerce to transform their data infrastructure and embed AI-driven automation across the organization.

You will work hands-on to:

• Unify marketing, product, finance, and supply-chain data into a single cloud-based data platform, moving teams away from Excel silos toward self-service business intelligence
• Implement production-ready AI use cases across five core business areas—marketing, product development, supply chain, customer service, and finance—including automated reporting, AI-supported quality assurance, and centralized finance dashboards
• Collaborate closely with team leads and executive leadership to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions
• Lead a two-person shop team both functionally and disciplinarily, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and building internal e-commerce capabilities to reduce dependency on external agencies

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 4–7 years of hands-on experience in data and e-commerce environments, ideally direct-to-consumer
• Proven expertise designing and building unified data architectures and self-service BI platforms; you have consolidated multiple data sources end-to-end at least once
• Demonstrated success deploying AI or process automation solutions independently into production
• A hands-on mindset—you are comfortable delivering results without a dedicated engineering team behind you
• Fluent German and willingness to work on-site in the München area three days per week
• Experience within the Shopify ecosystem (theme/Liquid development, apps, API integrations) is a strong plus and will accelerate internal shop competency development

Pay
