Payment Product Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is undertaking a strategic consolidation of payment infrastructure across multiple regions. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Payment Product Manager to join this remote engagement and lead the definition, sequencing, and migration of a unified payments hub that will serve internal operations teams and cross-system integrations.

This is a hands-on product role requiring deep payments domain knowledge, technical fluency with transactional systems, and the ability to run discovery against complex internal architectures. You will not be managing a roadmap in isolation—you will be making system behavior explicit, driving operational tooling improvements, and ensuring regional teams remain aligned throughout a high-stakes migration.

Responsibilities

• Define how the payments hub behaves by making system rules explicit, including callback timeouts, withdrawal hold and release logic, gateway configurations, and player-facing error messaging
• Own and optimize the back-office interface used daily by internal teams across seven core operational views: projects, gateways, payment groups, methods, orders, transactions, and logs
• Lead timeboxed discovery spikes across eleven internal systems (player accounts, wallet, KYC, fraud, reconciliation, taxation, and others) to surface risks and resolve unknowns before engineering begins
• Sequence the regional migration by defining rollout stages, validation rules using traffic sampling and historical replay, advancement criteria, and rollback procedures
• Maintain trust and transparent communication with regional operations, support, and business stakeholders on upcoming changes, potential risks, and contingency plans
• Establish post-launch operational processes for incident management, configuration updates, new payment method onboarding, and ongoing integration health monitoring

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on payments, fintech, or complex transactional systems
• Demonstrated ownership of a product area—not simply backlog management
• Ability to independently read API contracts and trace a transaction across multiple systems
• Proven ability to write clear, detailed requirements with explicit outcomes, acceptance criteria, and well-defined boundaries
• Data-driven decision-making skills; comfortable analyzing conversion rates, approval rates, failure reasons, and cost per transaction
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher for documentation, ticketing, and daily cross-team communication
