What This Role Involves

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at our Developmental Medicine Clinic in Nashville, you will deliver compassionate, direct patient care while supporting the specialized needs of patients in developmental medicine. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care. This role combines clinical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, creating a foundation of trust and support throughout their treatment journey.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient vital signs, assessments, and health observations
• Assist with patient examinations and developmental assessments under clinical supervision
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians and registered nurses
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and diagnostic samples
• Maintain accurate, timely patient medical records and documentation
• Communicate patient information and updates to the healthcare team
• Provide patient education and support to families regarding care plans and treatment
• Ensure patient comfort and safety within the clinic environment
• Assist with wound care and other clinical procedures as needed

Requirements

• Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Tennessee
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred
• Strong foundational knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Compassion for patients and commitment to patient-centered care
• Reliability and professional work ethic
